The Discrepancy of Persona: Unveiling the Hidden Motives

If I appear to be kind when I'm not, but I pretend to be in order to exploit others, if I seem brave when I'm actually extremely vain or self-destructive, if it appears that I love my country when I'm merely advancing my own interests, then my outward behavior is in stark contrast to my true motives. My behavior does not correspond to my character. My outward behavior is a mask that serves my purposes.
