Emotional Reconnection: The Discovery of the True Self"

We write down the most significant events in our lives, but we don't limit ourselves to what happened. Instead, we focus on how we felt. Afterward, we reread and underline all the words and expressions indicating negative emotions. By doing this, we step out of autopilot and learn what we feel and what hurts us. Over the years, we forget what constantly makes us feel anger, pain, dissatisfaction, etc. We forget who we are and what we feel. We cover it up with 'shoulds' and the many labels imposed on us and those we put on ourselves! This way, we reconnect with ourselves.
